I got the idea for this project from my illustrator design idea. Yoga flow being the main topic then the idea that yoga can be done anywhere. I did not have anyone to film me, so I set the camera down and hit record while I did random yoga poses that came to mind in my backyard. This idea obviously goes well with my whole blog topic, Yoga.

I had the idea of doing different yoga poses in different locations so that it would cut each clip into a different location. I didn’t have many other locations to do this in, so I opted in for the road, my backyard, and living room. I used jump cuts to transition into each yoga pose and I plan on adding transitions so that they flow well.

I have a lot of experience with editing video so this came fairly easy to me, the hardest part was deciding what to film, then I could just put it into Premiere and edit away. Once I had filmed about 3 minutes of different yoga poses, I figured that it would be enough, so I uploaded it to my computer and started editing.

I first started by using the split tool to take out different parts of the clips that were no longer needed. This created jump cuts. I then found music from the Free Music Archive website that sounded happy and relaxing. I felt that the song I chose fit well with what I was doing so I downloaded it and imported it into Premiere. I started my video out with an establishing shot to set up the scene for where I was first doing yoga. I also added text at the beginning and end of the video for an intro and outro touch.

I recorded all of the video off of my camera: Cannon Rebel T6i.
