Video filmed by me on Canon Rebel T6i
I decided to film this video after thinking of an idea that fit well with my yoga blog theme. I had already designed something similar to the idea that yoga can be done anywhere so I figured that it would be a good idea to do it for a video as well! To make the video a bit longer I also added a couple extra yoga poses in the beginning to get the idea across. It was a bit awkward filming this by myself so I needed to find an area where I could set my camera up.
I honestly just incorporated yoga poses that first came to mind, without looking any up online. It was a basic flow of peaceful yoga in my backyard! I then set my camera up out front of my house doing the same pose and in my living room to create the idea that you really can do yoga anywhere!
I have a lot of experience with editing video so this came fairly easy to me, the hardest part was deciding what to film, then I could just put it into Premiere and edit away. Once I had filmed about 3 minutes of different yoga poses, I figured that it would be enough, so I uploaded it to my computer and started editing. I first used the split tool to separate the raw footage into smaller clips so that they were easier to work with then I deleted what I didn’t need. I used jump cuts to transition into each yoga pose and I plan on adding transitions so that they flow well. I also added transitions in between the jump cuts to make the clips flow a bit better together. Compared to the rough draft, I took my classmates advice and added titles to advise the viewer on what was going to be happening.
The issues I am now noticing after I uploaded this video before leaving on a trip out of town are the letter boxes around the video, meaning my sequence settings were not correctly set as well as the quality being only 480P. I know what I did wrong and if I still had the video I would go back and change it, but unfortunately I am out of town and do not have the file.
