This image was designed with different yoga pose PNG’s labeled for reuse. layered behind images of city, nature, and the beach. This image was designed to push the idea that yoga can be done anywhere! On the beach, on the grass in some trees, and in the city. No matter the location yoga can bring you to a different zone of meditation and immerse you in your surroundings!
I really wanted to incorporate yoga into my design so that my whole blog had the feel of yoga! I played with a couple different backgrounds and images of people doing yoga but nothing exactly looked right. Then I had the idea that free form yoga is versatile and can really be done anywhere! Including the city, on the beach, and in the grass!
I really like the design idea of lowering opacity while placing other images behind the others. It shows a sense of layering and contrast. I also tried to add shading and a bit of glow to the people in yoga poses to give them a bit more focus so that the viewers eye first directs toward them. I first took an image of a woman in a yoga pose and vectored the image and filled it in with a black color while also adding special effects. I spent way too much time doing this and finding a perfect background so i opted to find black png versions of other images for the next two yoga poses, on the left and right. I came up with the idea that yoga is versatile and can really be done anywhere. So how perfect would it be to incorporate completely different landscapes into the design but also make them flow together. Next came positioning and adding a bit of depth to the image.
I found all of the images on google under labeled for noncommercial reuse. Saved them to my desktop and edited them as needed. I had a bit of trouble at first trying to vector the image using multiple different pen tools while referring to the Photoshop tutorials. I finally figured it out and had spent so much time doing so. I wanted to show that I have this ability and now can remember it step by step without referring to the tutorials from now on. Figuring I had proved my point, I went the easy route and gathered yoga poses already filled in with black and in PNG version. My only tips are to play around with the special effects, you might find out some really cool ways to make your design even better by just clicking and adjusting!
